MAINTENANCE SERVICE
Its important to take care of your air conditioning unit so it works better, last longer and you will pay less for energy. An air conditioning maintenance service should be done at least once a year, but if you feel that your unit is not cooling enough or humidity it’s time to schedule an appointment for your maintenance service.
The maintenance service consists in the following:
- Coil extraction and cleaning with acid and anti-mold
- Air Handler and condenser cleaning with anti-mold
- Drain Cleaning with drain chemical cleaner and flush.
- Pressure Calibration with Refrigerant gas
One of the most important parts of air conditioning maintenance service, is the coil cleaning.
The air conditioner units have 2 coils, one in the evaporator and one in the condenser. The evaporator coil’s principal function is to capture the heat from indoor air. While the evaporator coils do their job, the condenser coils (also commonly called the fan coils) release the trapped heat into the air around the outdoor unit.

The importance to keep cleaned your evaporator coil, is that the small spacing between the coil fins, surface moisture from the cooling process and the air flowing over the coil could holds dust, pollen, mold and additional particulates, in a very short time sufficient dirt can concentrate on the coils and decrease their performance.
Some of the problems that may occurs when the evaporator and condenser coils gets dirty are:
- Ice accumulation on coil
- Fast wear on the system
- Lowered cooling capacity
- Higher temperatures and operating pressures
- Lowered heat transfer
